Wake up

I'm doing poetry this month, in case you missed the first post.
I love the Light & I dig the Sun

Wake up from your stupor.
The one you walk in all day.
The one that compels you to ignore,
Beauty you encounter on your way.

Wake up from your stupor.
The one you sleep in all night.
The one that forces you to forget,
Your revolutionary dreams in broad daylight.

Wake up from you stupor.
The one you live in all your lifespan.
The one that makes you a zombie,
Driven by a thirst of fame and fortune.

Wake up from your stupor.
The one in which you might die.
The one that makes you look alive
Even though you're all dead inside.

Open your eyes to the world outside...

  1. This is beautiful! Thanks for the reminder! (:

  2. I'm awake! and popped by from Arlee's AtoZ post.

  3. It's always good to be awakened from our stupor. And everyone can fall victim to it, if only temporarily.
I try to stay awake and receptive.

  4. Inspirational poem. Even if dead inside, wake up to the world outside. Great way to put it ... we have to try, even if it seems so hard.

  5. You create the best repetitive poems. You're so good at that. I think a lot of people are living in a stupor right now, unfortunately.
